Or that you can be certain the pourtng spout will pop out of the milk

These are among the frustrations of anyone exposed to modern

When the milk carton Is damp, for example, you cannot always expose

'Jle frustrations are generated not only by things that don't work, but by
promises not kept.

Batchelder, a 41-year.Qld attorney, was a member of the platform
coounlttee at the l9!IJ convention In Detroit when Reagan was nominated.
"I enjoyed that. And at the time, then-Gov. Reagan ileeded philosophical
support which he doesn't need this time," Batchelder said.
,
Batchelder Is a leading spokesman for the so-called true conservatives IIi
Ohio, some of whom have not totally agreed with Reagan's decisions.
However, most of them apparenpy are reasonably satisfied with the
work of the l!ll<l platform(commlttee which Included considerable Impact
from a clnse philosophical aUy, U.S. Rep. Jack Kemp of New York.
Batch~lder said he views Kemp's Influence on the conunlttee, which
wound up with a document almost entirely Wrtt1ell by the party's right

reelected Nov. 6, will not be eligible to run again.
"It Is clearihat Jack Is going to be Involved, and he's a quarterback, a
