The third annual RC&amp;O dinner
and awards banquet will be held
Thursday, Sept. 20, at the Noble
County Fairgrounds according to
Wayne Schafer, chairman of the
Buckeye Hills Resource Conservation and Development Executive
CouncU.

The evening's activities . will
begin promptly at 6 p.m. with a
potluck style dinner, followed by a
brief slide show update of current
progress on the construction of
campground facUlties at Seneca
Lake Park, plus recognition of one
person from each of the nine RC&amp;D
· counties. These Individuals are
being recognized for their contrlbu·
lion to resource conservation and
development In their respective
counties.
The featured speaker will be a
representative of the Musklngwn
Watershed Conservancy District
(MWCD) who will discuss the
conservancy district's program,
plus .show a fUm of the district's
beautiful parks and lake recreational facUlties.
The Buckeye Hills RC&amp;D Project
Area was expanded from a five
county to a nine county area In late
1983. "This will be the first time thai
all nine counties have had' the
opportunitY to get together to
recognize the leaders In their
counties," states .Scl!afer. The
Buckeye Hllls RC&amp;D Project Area
now Includes Athens, Belmont,
Hocking, Meigs, Monroe,. Morgan,
Noble, Perry and Washington
Counties. Reservations will not be
required since the meal Is potluck
style. Those Interested In attending
may contact the SoU and Water
Conservation District In their
county for further detalls on the
meal and the meeting.
