The MRI Theater was designed with patients and clinicians in mind, helping clinicians
address some of the biggest challenges they face with MR imaging - claustrophobia and
patient anxiety. The features enhance patient comfort with a unique range of audio and
visual features, enabling clinicians to complete MRI exams quickly while improving patient
satisfaction. Patients can watch their favorite show or project expansive virtual reality
images onto a dome-shaped screen in the extra-wide bore to take their attention away
from the actual examination space. Patients can relax, watch Netflix, or feel like they are
swimming with dolphins.

COLUMBUS, Ohio
(AP) — Both public entities and private employers would be prohibited
from requiring vaccinations and workers could
not be fired as a result
of refusing, under GOP
legislation pending in an
Ohio House committee.
The bill before the
House Health Committee also strengthens the
notices that schools must
provide parents about
exemptions they can
seek against having their
children vaccinated. The
legislation would also

repeal a state law requiring college students to
disclose whether they’ve
been vaccinated against
hepatitis B and meningococcal meningitis.
The legislation never
mentions COVID-19 or
the coronavirus, but in
her testimony about the
measure, Gross included
multiple references to
employers including hospitals requiring proof of
coronavirus vaccination
as a condition of employment.
Bill sponsor Rep. Jennifer Gross is a nurse
practitioner who says she
believes in vaccinations
and in personal choice.

“We need to protect
Ohioans from forced vaccination whether it comes
from the government,
school, an employer, or
even a local retailer,”
Gross, a Republican from
West Chester in southwestern Ohio, told the
Health committee last
week. She told fellow lawmakers she has received
other vaccinations but not
the one for COVID-19.
More than 100 people
submitted testimony
in favor of the measure
to the Health committee, which heard from
supporters Tuesday,
Gongwer News Service
reported.

The psalmist concludes, “Once

Ohio State pondered playing football without Big Ten
By Ralph D. Russo
Associated Press

The president of Ohio
State University asked
athletic director Gene
Smith if the Buckeyes
could “go independent”
in a text message sent
the day after the Big Ten
announced in August it
would not play a fall football season.
The text from Ohio

State President Kristina
Johnson to Smith, dated
Aug. 12 at 8:04 a.m., was
among more than 2,500
pages of documents the
school released Wednesday night in response to
public records requests by
media organizations.
The documents
included numerous email
messages from Buckeyes
supporters to Smith and
Johnson, criticizing both

leaders and the Big Ten’s
decision to postpone
the season on Aug. 11
because of the pandemic.
“As an alumni I have
slowly been losing my
faith in the direction
of Ohio State, oh to go
back to the days of the
leadership we had under
Gordon Gee,” one emailer
wrote, referring to the
former Ohio State President, currently at West

Virginia University.
There were also email
exchanges between athletic directors in the Big
Ten proposing alternative
football schedules for
both a traditional season
that would start in September and winter/spring
options.

Virtually all of Canada’s top NBA
players, excluding those who are
injured, have accepted invitations
to attend training camp next month
in advance of that country’s last
chance to qualify for the Tokyo
Olympics.
Canada will play host to a sixteam qualifier in Victoria, British
Columbia, that starts June 29.
That is one of four such qualifiers involving a total of 24 nations,
all vying for the last four spots in
the Olympic men’s tournament in
Tokyo.
In all, 21 players accepted camp
invites from Canada — including
14 of the 16 leading Canadian-born
scorers in the NBA this season. The
only exceptions are Denver’s Jamal
Murray and Oklahoma City’s Shai
Gilgeous-Alexander, both of whom

saw their NBA seasons end early
because of injury.
Among those who accepted the
camp invitations: Golden State’s
Andrew Wiggins, New York’s RJ
Barrett, Memphis’ Dillon Brooks,
Oklahoma City’s Luguentz Dort,
Houston’s Kelly Olynyk, New
Orleans’ Nickeil Walker-Alexander,
and Indiana’s Oshae Brissett.
For some, like Barrett and Brooks,
availability will obviously hinge on
how far their teams advance in the
NBA playoffs.
“There is no greater feeling in
sports than the chance to represent
your country on the highest international stage at the Olympic Games,”
Canada senior men’s program general manager Rowan Barrett said.
“Our players and staff fully recognize the unique opportunity that
lies ahead of us and I would like to
commend them for their dedication
to playing for Canada this summer.”

McConnell explained
council, been the class
president for three years, that he always wanted

to be in aviation, and
that after seeing a family
friend whose sons had
went through the academy it was something
he knew he wanted to
do. He will be reporting
there before June 24 this
summer.
Smith said that being
at the top of the class
was always a goal she
worked toward in high
school.
Asked what he will

remember most about
his four years at Meigs
High School, McConnell
said it will be the people.
“I have learned a lot
in high school and you
remember the people
that help you to learn it,”
said McConnell.
For Smith, it is Spanish class which she will
remember the most.
“I love the teacher and
classmates; we have a
great time and laugh,”

said Smith. “(Mrs. José)
helped me a lot with
school applications and
looked over my essays
(for applications). She
has had a big impact on
my high school career.”
McConnell said he
would encourage younger students to keep chasing their goals.
“Don’t quit trying;
never be afraid to fail;
always keep at it,” said
McConnell.
