MAN. THAT HILL IS STEEP - So said the riders In the Meigs Motorcycle elub
hill climb Sunday on Peach Fork Road. At least 45 degrees steep, this hill not beinl
made try the driver. looks "about 90 degrees" from the top. The motorcycle club It·
tracts cycle enthusiasts who are law-abiding taxpayers and anxious to erase a cer•
lain stigma drawn by the few cycle riders who handle their machines as rowdies (aod
rarely live to old age). The Cycle clubs encourage law officers to treat the rowdil!ll
according to law. Their extraordinary behavior crowds the good riders from head·
lines. Hill climbs and scramble races are the chief thrill events sponsored by cycle
clubs, all conducted under the most strict rules for safely.
