            <text>Ricky Wayne Schaefer, 55, of Mason, West Virginia, passed away at 2:57 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 in the Marietta Memorial Hospital. Born August 10, 1962 in Gallipolis, he was the son of the late Nora Rose Schaefer Nitz. He was a material handler and laborer. He also served in the West Virginia National Guard from 1980 until 1986.&#13;
&#13;
He is survived by his wife, Christine Fry, whom he married on July 10, 1982, in Pomeroy, children, Jennifer (Michael) Lambert, of Rutland, Mandy Reitmire, of Middleport, Joshua Schaefer, of Mason, and Maria Schaefer, of Syracuse, grandchildren, Ashlyn Lambert, Tyler Lambert, Joshua Lambert, Kaylie Reitmire, Mason Reitmire, Ava Reitmire, and Alexis Schaefer. Sisters, Deborah (Joseph) Brockert, of Pomeroy, and Vicki (Nelson) Morrison, of Middleport, brothers, Brian Nitz, of Middleport, and Donald “Donnie” Nitz, of Pomeroy, and numerous nieces and nephews.&#13;
&#13;
In addition to his mother Ricky is preceded in death by his step-father, Coy Nitz, and a brother, Russell “Rusty” Nitz.&#13;
&#13;
Cremation services are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Pomeroy. A memorial service will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the by visiting www.cremeensking.com</text>
