            <text>Shirley Lou (Danbury) Hesson, 87, of New Haven, WV, passed away April 11, 2023, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV, following an extended illness.&#13;
&#13;
She was born December 28, 1935, in Kanawha County, WV, a daughter of the late Richard and Evelyn (England) Danbury. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Eugene Hesson; son, Rick Hesson and one brother, Peck Danbury.&#13;
&#13;
Shirley was a 1953 graduate of Wahama High School and retired from the Town of New Haven as Recorder with several years of service. She loved the lord and was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Mason. Shirley loved keeping things neat and clean. She enjoyed bird watching, planting and caring for her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.&#13;
&#13;
Survivors include her daughter, Regena Pennington and her husband, Bruce of New Haven; sister, Margaret Stone of Spring Hill, TN; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.&#13;
&#13;
Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Graham Baptist Church Cemetery, New Haven, WV, with Pastor Donnie Dye officiating.</text>
