            <text>Marvin William “Butch” Cain, 84, of Mason, WV, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2023, at Mountain View Care Center, following a battle with dementia.&#13;
&#13;
Butch was born on August 28, 1938, in Putnam County, WV, a son of the late Lewis Walter and Sarah Leoma (Byers) Cain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Levina Hornsby, Augusta Stephens, Susie Nelson, Dorothy Gillenwater, Sophie Nelson; brothers, Daivd Cain, Edward Cain; nephews, Donald Burchett and Kenneth Burchett.&#13;
&#13;
Butch is a Vietnam War Veteran and served his country proudly. He loved his family just as much as he did his country.&#13;
&#13;
Survivors include his sister, Laverne Syrus of Iverness, FL; several nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews.&#13;
&#13;
In honoring his wishes, there will be no public services.</text>
