            <text>William Harrison Wamsley Sr., 84, of Hartford, WV, passed away Monday May 15, 2023, at home, with his loving family by his side.&#13;
&#13;
He was born July 17, 1938, in Point Pleasant, WV, a son of the late Lloyd H. and Lorene (Wyatt) Wamsley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, one brother and one grandson.&#13;
&#13;
William was a United States Army Veteran serving during Vietnam and was a member of the American Legion Post # 140, New Haven, WV. He retired from AEP River Division as an Engineer with over 20 years of faithful service and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing his Harmonica.&#13;
&#13;
Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 61 years, Joyce Ann (Hall) Wamsley; son, William Wamsley Jr. and his wife, Amity of Pomeroy, OH; daughters, Penny Baker of New Haven, Teresa Adams and her husband, Timothy of Florida, Debbie Wamsley of Hartford, Candy Robinson and her husband, Michael of Gallipolis Ferry; Kayla Wamsley, whom William thought as his own; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.&#13;
&#13;
Services were held privately. He was laid to rest at Union Cemetery, Letart, WV.&#13;
