            <text>Howard D. Mullins, 85, formerly of Gallia County, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on December 15, 2023.  He was born on January 8, 1938 in Gallia County, son of the late Mark and Audrey Wallace Mullins.  &#13;
&#13;
Howard was a retired Gallia County Deputy Sheriff, serving for 31 years and was the Marshall of Crown City for 20 years.  He was a lifelong Mason and served in the U.S. Army Reserves. Howard enjoyed camping and working in his woodshop, as well as, planting flowers in the yard.  Salvia was his favorite flower.&#13;
&#13;
Howard is survived by his wife of 33 years, Nancy L. Mullins; two daughters from a previous marriage, Lana Harrison and Teressa (Mike) McClaskie; one stepdaughter, Shirley Phillips; two brothers, Lyndall (Barbara) Mullins and Kendall Mullins; sister-in-law, Kathy Mullins; five grandchildren, Nichole Harrison, Lauren (Covie) Barger, Dustin (Tori) Cremeans, Ian McClaskie, and Taylor McClaskie; two great grandchildren, Jackson Cremeans and Aspin Barger; mother-in-law, Lenora Ferguson; sister-in-law, Ethel Beam; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by three brothers, Eddie, Dewey, and Randall Mullins; a beloved son-in-law, Greg Harrison; brothers-in-law Eddie Ferguson and Russell Beam; father-in-law, Luther Ferguson; and sister-in-law, Debbie.&#13;
&#13;
A Graveside Service for Howard will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Mercerville with Pastor David Beaver officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Howard to SOMC Hospice, 2201 25th Street, Portsmouth, Ohio  45662.</text>
