            <text>Michael Ray Lucas, age 69 of Wellston died Thursday December 7, 2023 at Maple Hills Skilled Nursing &amp; Rehabilitation in McArthur. He was born October 28, 1954 in Gallia County, he was the son of the late Elvis Lucas and the late Jane A. Barcus Queen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his step father, Hollis Queen, who raised Michael; daughter, Stacey Renee Lucus; brothers, Jerry Lucas, Wendell Lucas and Vernon Lucas; and by his sisters, Barbara George and Joan Biars.&#13;
&#13;
Michael was a United States Army veteran. He was a volunteer at the Gallia County Emergency Squad for several years and was a retired contractor. He enjoyed gardening, shooting pool, cornhole and watching westerns.&#13;
&#13;
He is survived by his 2 sons; Chris Lucas of Catlettsburg, KY and Heath (Kylee) Lucas of Gallipolis; 2 brothers; Gary Lucas and Dean Lucas; 2 sisters; Carla Parsons and Connie Lear; and by numerous grandchildren.&#13;
&#13;
Memorial services will be 1:00 PM. Saturday December 16, 2023 at the Waugh-Halley-Wood Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Ohio Valley Memory Gardens. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 AM. till 1:00 PM. Full Military Honors will be presented at the cemetery by the VFW #4464 Honor Guard.</text>
