            <text>Sarah Rebecca “Becky” Barcus Unroe, 94, State Route 141, Green Township, went to be with the Lord and the love of her life, Bruce, at 2:50 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 in the OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. Born February 8, 1929 in Gallia County she was the daughter of the late Clarence C. and Florilla Mae Plymale Barcus. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed being an instructor and leader with Weight Watchers for over 25 years in Gallipolis and Southeast Ohio. She was a member of the Caanan Missionary Baptist Church but in recent years attended the First Baptist Church in Gallipolis.&#13;

She married Robert Bruce Unroe on January 25, 1947 in Jackson, Ohio and he preceded her in death on November 23, 2009.&#13;
&#13;
Becky is survived by her two daughters, Ferne Elaine Arnold, of Mount Gilead, Ohio and Yvonne Walker, of Gilbert, Arizona. Grandchildren surviving are Robert C.E. Miller, of Dallas, Texas, Brad A. (Sonya) Walker, of Fairborn, Ohio, Tim (Beth) Walker, of Springfield, Ohio, Angie (Lee) Offenburger, of Jefferson City, Missouri, Rebecca “Becky” (Jerod) Embry, of Sedalia, Missouri and Michael Arnold, of Kansas City, Missouri, great-grandchildren, Douglas (Rachel) Evans-Miller, Emily Evans-Miller, Reagan Miller, Kennedy Miller, Lindsay (Brenden) Turner, Matthew (Nikki) Walker, Hendrix Walker, Storm Walker, Kailyn (Devin) Geveden , Kyle Walker, Christopher Offenburger, Megan Offenburger, Nathan Offenburger, Stephanie Offenburger, Joseph Offenburger, Kaitlyn (Kyle) Bissen, Geremy (Bethany) Sowash and Jacob McFarlin, great-great grandchildren, Allen Walker, Declan Turner, Kylah Bissen and Parker Reid Bissen. Also surviving are her sisters, Kathryn Costen, of Gallipolis, Ernestine Mooney, of Gallipolis and Ina Belle Sibley, of Gallipolis, her brother, Ray Barcus, of Gallipolis, brothers-in-law, James P. (Chunhua) Unroe, of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Willard Keesee, of Patriot, Ohio, sister-in-law, Cathy Russell, of Gallipolis and numerous nieces and nephews.&#13;

In addition to her parents and husband, Becky was preceded in death by her son-in-law, George “Barry” Arnold, sisters, Addie Jewell, Lola Richards, Donna Keesee and Opal Halfhill and a brother, Ralph Barcus&#13;

 Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 in the First Baptist Church, 1100 Fourth Avenue, Gallipolis. Officiating will be Rev. Aaron Young and Rev. Aaron Beacom, Pastor of the New Testament Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Gilead, Ohio. Interment will be in the Mina Cemetery in Green Township. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. and until time of the funeral service at the church. Grandsons and nephews will service as Becky’s casketbearers. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Home.</text>
