            <text>Curtis R. Gilbert, 60, 0f Middleport, died Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis.&#13;
&#13;
Born November 28, 1963, in Gallipolis, Ohio, he was the son of the late Roger and Wanda Nelson Gilbert.  He attended Gallipolis High School.  Curt loved his family and adored his granddaughters Kyla and Kaleah.  He was the best!  He enjoyed working on vehicles and helping out anyone he could.  He will be missed.&#13;
&#13;
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Marie Schroeder Gilbert; one son, Matthew Gilbert; two granddaughters, Kyla and Kaleah; two brothers, Roger (Debbie) Gilbert and David Gilbert; two sisters, Rhonda Jenks and Gail Davis and several nieces and nephews.  &#13;
&#13;
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Curtis Gilbert Jr and one brother, Scott Gilbert.&#13;
&#13;
Curtis’s wishes were that there be no public services.  Friends are invited to sign the online guestbook at ehwfh.com.  Arrangements have been entrusted with the Ewing Funeral Home in Pomeroy.  </text>
