            <text>Mark John Werry, 68, of Pomeroy, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024 at the Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio.&#13;
&#13;
Born September 18, 1955 in Gallipolis, Ohio, he was the son of the late John E and Margaret Bryant Werry.  Mark was a 1973 graduate of Meigs High School and retired from Kyger Creek Power Plant after thirty-four years servicing as a master mechanic.  He was a member of the Kyger Creek Employees Club and was known as the “voice of Kyger Creek Little League”.  Mark was a life long member of the New Beginnings United Methodist Church in Pomeroy.  He was an avid sports fan who loved the Meigs Mauraders, Trimble Tomcats, Ohio State Football and was a die hard Cleveland Browns fan.  He was an active member of the Meigs Athletic Boosters and was known as  the  Meigs Cheer Dad who served up some delicious hamburgers and hotdogs.  Many of his neighbors referred to him as the Mayor of Hemlock Grove and its Safety Patrol.  In his spare time he enjoyed talking to members of ODOT and Representative Jay Edwards about completing  the four lane highway between Athens and Pomeroy.&#13;

Mark is survived by his wife of twelve years, Tami Robinette Werry; children, Melissa Werry, Alicia Werry (Chris), Desirae Cundiff, Jana (Steven) Erlenbach and Ben Robinette; two grandchildren, Reece Carper and Kaesyn Cundiff; father-in-law, John Stalling; uncle, John (Barb) Bryant; sister-in-law, Corky (Ben) King; brother and sisters in law; nieces, nephews and cousins and his loving pets. Thora, Cora, Frankie and Duke.&#13;
&#13;
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffery Werry; uncle, Edgar (Betty) Vale; mother-in-law, Rita Robinette and his much loved dog Devon.&#13;
&#13;
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Ewing Funeral Home in Pomeroy with Pastor Scott Blevins officiating.  Burial will be in the Hemlock Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 4:00 till 7:00 PM.  Friends and family are invited back for fellowship after graveside services at The Ewing Family Center in Pomeroy. </text>
