            <text>Our loving mother and grandmother, Evelyn Mae Weirick, 92, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away on August 29, 2023, at Ravenswood Care Center.&#13;
&#13;

She was born on May 23, 1931, in Letart, WV, daughter of the late Clarence C. and Wilda Marie Smith Blessing.&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
Evelyn enjoyed sewing, gardening and many church activities. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Ravenswood. She was currently a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Haven, WV. She was past president and member of the Pilot Club of Jackson County; past member of Jackson County Board of Health; Jackson General Hospital Board; Kanawha Hospice Board; past president of Jackson County Easter Seals Society; and past president of the women of ELCA serving WV/WMD Synod.&#13;

In her seventies, she went on a mission trip to Madagascar.&#13;

&#13;
She is survived by her children, Martin L. (Marsha) Weirick, and Reverend Patrice Weirick; 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Christine Weirick; 3 great grandchildren, Juniper, Grayson and Ruby; 1 brother-in-law, William Rogers; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Phyllis Fox.&#13;

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend George C. Weirick; daughter, Dr. Katrina Weirick, DVM; son, Phillip; sisters, Dorothy Barthlomew and Peggy Rogers; brother, Charles (Dorothy) Blessing; and niece, Angela Blessing.&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
&#13;
The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 4, 2023, at 11:00 am at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in New Haven, WV, with Reverend Patrice Weirick and Reverend Bishop Matthew Riegel officiating. Burial will follow in Ravenswood Cemetery at 2:30 pm.&#13;

Friends may visit the family at Roush Funeral Home in Ravenswood on Sunday, September 3, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm.&#13;
