<text>Thelma Jean Jeffers of Pomeroy, Ohio Passed away on Friday August 2nd 2024 she was born April 17th, 1940.

Thelma graduated high school in 1958 where she met the love of her life, Wendell Jeffers. They were married for 59 years before Wendell passed in 2017. Together they raised a beautifully “crazy” family.

She is survived by her children: James (Tawny) Jeffers of Racine Ohio, Tracey (Andy) Bogard of Vincent Ohio, Tim (Kim) Jeffers of Batavia Ohio, and John (Gena) Jeffers of Point Pleasant West Virginia.

Grandchildren: Lindsey Jeffers (Zack Newell), Tamra (Charlie) Mallett, Mindy (Brandon) Krieg, Mitchell (Ariel) Bogard, Erin Bogard, Kyle (Susie) Jeffers, Shane (Kaitlyn) Jeffers, Emma (Cameron) Hart, Dakota and Brody Jeffers.

Great Grandchildren: Ezekiel, Ava, Cameron, Jayce, Charlotte, Claire, Taylor, Bailey, Gatlin, Cole, Maverick, Caroline, Waylon, Walker and Wynston.

Brother: Robert (Jonetta) Davis of Racine, As well as many nieces and nephews.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Wendell Jeffers of 59 years, her Father Harry A Davis, and Mother Virginia Davis, Brother James (Eunice) Dodd of Wellsburg WV.

She was a faithful member of the Rock Springs United Methodist Church where she served in many positions and roles, such as Sunday School teacher, VBS leader, Puppeteer, Committee member and superintendent.

She always had a faithful servant’s heart, especially for the elderly and children or those in need. What a great role model on how to be the hands and feet of Jesus!

Thelma was a positively cheerful person her entire life, from being a high school cheerleader, Glee club member even to the day of her accident she was making the nurses and medical staff smile. She always shared smiles and love everywhere she went. “It was her special gift”.

Thelma also served as an active member of the Pomeroy Alumni for many years. She filled her extra time after she retired from Kroger’s (Pomeroy) by volunteering for many charitable groups in and around Meigs County. She was the happiest serving others especially her family.

We will all miss her greatly but find comfort in knowing that she is with Jesus and has been made whole again.

Heaven gained a new cheerleader when she left us August 2, 2024.
