Ed was raised in Middleport and was a graduate of Middleport High School in 1957. He was the head drum major and loved his Middleport Yellow Jackets! Following his graduation Ed joined the Army where he was stationed state side at various bases and then was assigned various oversees bases. He then returned to the US and eventually returned to his hometown of Middleport. He held several jobs throughout his life and eventually retired from The Thomas Do It Center in Pt. Pleasant, WV. Ed was a diehard Ohio State Buckeye, Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals and NASCAR fan. He never missed a chance to watch a game or race! You could always count on him wearing one of those shirts anytime you saw him. He loved playing pool and would play anytime he could, and usually beat anyone he played.
