            <text>Charles Robert Lemley of Middleport, Ohio passed away on May 04, 2025. He was Born on March 05, 1940 in Middleport, Ohio to the late Andrew and Eva Lemley of Middleport, Ohio.&#13;
&#13;
Charles was a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army where he retired after 20 years of service. He was a proud Vietnam veteran who received a Purple Heart while deployed. Later he worked for the North Carolina Department of Corrections and retired after 22 years of service. During those years he was a longtime resident of Spring Lake, NC.&#13;
&#13;
Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, music and photography and kept an immaculate yard where friends and family enjoyed many holiday parties.&#13;
&#13;
Along with his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his sisters Betty Lemley, Wanda Johnson, and Mildred Lambert of Middleport, Ohio, Wife Lyla Diehl Lemley of Aloha, Oregon, and Wife Wilma Gard of Middleport, Ohio&#13;
&#13;
He is survived by his brother Fred (Helen) Lemley, son Robert K.(Alicia) Lemley of Broadway, NC, daughter Marlene K. Troutman of Grayson, Kentucky, Diane L. (Bradley) Blazer of Granite Falls NC, stepson Gary (Janet) Gilmore of Middleport, Ohio, stepdaughters Kay (Howard) Barber of Reidsville, Ohio and Diane Landers of Middleport, Ohio. Charles was blessed with grandchildren Robert Lemley Jr., Megan Durrance, James Strickland, Jennifer Evans, Paul Strickland, Shanna Newsome, Matthew Blazer, Brandon Blazer, Rikki Wagner, Destiny Wagner, Cory Wagner, Annaleece DePue, and 16 great-grandchildren.&#13;
&#13;
Services will be held at the Anderson McDaniel Funeral Home in Pomeroy, Ohio on Wednesday May, 07, at 1:00PM Visitation will be held two hours prior(11:00pm-1:00pm).  </text>
