            <text>James E Lucas formerly of Middleport, Ohio passed away Thursday March 13th at Rockland Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation in Belpre, Ohio. He was born on December 14th ,1936 to the late Arthur and Evelyn Lucas of Lancaster, Ohio.&#13;
&#13;
Jim is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Tona and Tim Hendricks of Lancaster Ohio, granddaughter Tonya Phillips, Special cousins Danny and Rose Jackson of Palm Bay Florida, Sandy and Mike Dufner of Lancaster Ohio, special friends Matt and Trudy Lyons, Aubree and Luke Musser, Mark and Vicki Morrow, Val and the late Rev David Rahamut.&#13;
&#13;
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Lucas of Coeur d’Alene Idaho, Grandsons TL Phillips and Kristopher Williamson both of Lancaster Ohio.&#13;
&#13;
Jim was a retired sheet metal worker out of local 024-SM. There, he remained member for 50 yrs. Alongside of his career as a union sheet metal worker, he loved working on his farm raising animals and gardening. After retirement, Jim spent the rest of his years offering his talents to help anyone who had a need. He often would trade his labor for a cherry pie.&#13;
&#13;
Jim also served a Chaplin at Holzer Hospital and volunteered countless hours gathering and providing needs for the Serenity House. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Middleport also attending Bradford Church of Christ and Ash Street Church devoting his time, talent and enjoying fellowship with many loved ones.&#13;
&#13;
A special thank you to his Rockland Ridge family for their love and wonderful care.&#13;

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, there will be a celebration of life at a later date.</text>
