The Village of

percent of the fmes it collecls into a
ipCcial police department account,
after discussion at Monday's regular.
village council meeting.
Fiscal Officer Susan Baker said no
official council action·is documented
allowing for tbe collection of a portion of fine proceeds into the Law
Enforcement Trust Fund. She said the

The slate, under the Ohio Revised

of fines for cenain offenses into the
LEIF, for exclusive use of the police
department. However; the village has
long collected a flat I 0 percent of all
fmes for the fund.
·
.
The LETF also receives funds
sometimes from drug fotfeiture cases
which are ordered deposited into the
fund for police use.
