, Humane Society has received a $5,000
grant from the Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust for the 'society's ongoing spay
and neuter program.
The program helps subsidize the cost
of spay and neuter operations for the
pets of financially - needy residents.
Alden Waitt, society president, said the

grant from . th e Cleveland-based Scott
Trust will significantly increase the
number of people who will be helped
by the organization.

"We have been attempting to work in
several ways to minimize the problems
of pet overpopulation in the coun,ty, and
this is one of the most direct and eff'ective ways we have found to do so," Waitt
